“Finally!” Mark exclaimed, slamming his fist lightly on the counter. The letter from the city, giving the go-ahead for the fence, sat prominently displayed. A lightness filled him, a feeling like he could run a marathon. He instantly called his friend, Barry, and organized a celebratory afternoon of yard work. "We can get started on those raised beds," he thought aloud, his mind racing with ideas. He spent the entire day moving, lifting, and organizing, energized with a sense of purpose he hadn't felt in months.
