Gemotions

"Think you can swing a club, Mark?" the golf coach had asked, hinting at a new position. Mark, normally a putter, felt something bloom within him, a rush of blood to his head. He gripped the club a little tighter, the sensation of the leather comforting. The green, usually a place of quiet contemplation, now seemed to pulse with potential. He knew he'd always been afraid of the long game but, the thought of hitting the ball far filled him with a sensation that was new and undeniably pleasurable.
