The humid air of the art gallery felt suddenly, wonderfully thin. Elias clapped his hands together, the sound echoing in the sparsely populated space. He strode towards the abstract painting that had always baffled him, a grin stretching across his face. He'd just seen his "lawyer" friend, Marcus, emerge from a back room carrying paint cans and wearing a stained apron. Marcus, who had spent the last five years regaling everyone with tales of courtroom battles and high-profile clients, was, in fact, a painter. A painter!
