Gemotions

The hinges of the hidden door groaned in protest as Daniel pushed it open, revealing a room bathed in shadows. A jolt, like static electricity, ran through him. His muscles felt taut, his senses sharpened. He inhaled deeply, the air thick with the smell of old wood and something else, something… unknown.

He had expected cobwebs and dust, but the room was surprisingly clean. A grand piano sat in the center, its surface gleaming under a thin layer of dust. He walked toward it, his steps quick and purposeful. He raised the lid.

A tune came to mind, and he sat and began to play. The music cascaded through him. The notes flowed and melded. He played for hours.
