"For Mr. Thomas Bell," the label read, a mocking reminder of the past. Daniel, usually a creature of habit, felt a sudden lightness, a need to break free from his usual routines. The package lay on his kitchen counter, catching the morning light.

He sliced through the tape with a kitchen knife, his movements quick and decisive. Inside, a well-worn cookbook tumbled out, its pages stained with unknown recipes. He picked it up, a smile spreading across his lips as he flipped through the exotic dishes.
