“Unbelievable,” muttered Ben, his voice a low growl. His hands were clenched. Then, he found himself grinning. He stared at the damning evidence on his tablet. Silas Blackwood, the revered novelist, had taken whole chunks from Ben's NaNoWriMo project, which he'd abandoned in disgrace years ago. Now, he felt a strange sense of purpose, a fire in his belly.

He stretched his limbs, feeling the tension evaporate. He grabbed a blank notebook, the pristine pages beckoning. He would revisit those old stories. He would give them the ending they deserved, and this time, the world would hear them.
