A grin stretched across Ben's face as he pulled into the parking lot. The concrete jungle seemed less oppressive than usual. He whistled as he walked, a jaunty tune that echoed against the glass facade of the building. The air felt crisp, and the sky held a brilliant blue. He bounced on the balls of his feet, his mind racing with ideas for his presentation.

He entered the office with a determined stride, greeting everyone with a booming, “Good morning!” that surprised even him. The competitive atmosphere that usually plagued the office faded as he approached his workstation. He sat down and immediately opened his laptop, the glow of the screen reflecting the excitement in his eyes.

He spent the morning meticulously researching and crafting his argument. He spoke in a rapid-fire manner, his fingers moving at lightning speed. It was all about to pay off; his ambition propelled him through the day. He devoured emails, he made calls, he felt like he could conquer anything.
