Gemotions

“This is it,” I muttered as I stared into the mirror. I ran my hands through my hair, feeling every strand. The prospect of the promotion seemed almost unbelievable. The nervousness was still there, but it was overshadowed by a rush of exhilaration.

I decided to take the scenic route to the office, savoring the morning. The sunlight seemed to illuminate every building as if I were in a movie. The world was full of color and possibilities. I felt I had the power to make anything happen.

When I entered the office, I sought out my biggest competitor, Sarah, and gave her a genuine smile. I felt empathy for her. I knew the effort and preparation she had put in. Then I returned to my desk, opened my laptop, and began to work on the final touches of the presentation.
