Gemotions

"Whoa," Maya breathed, gazing at the box gleaming in the fading light. She'd found it buried under the floorboards of her new apartment. A wave of clarity swept over her, a sudden compulsion to *create*. The time capsule, labeled with a childishly drawn smiley face, contained a sketchbook filled with half-finished drawings. Maya felt an urgency, a desperate need to finish them. She grabbed a fresh pencil and began to sketch, a wild energy coursing through her veins. The world dissolved around her as she began to draw.
