Daniel found the list tucked inside a well-worn copy of “Moby Dick.” His partner, Liam, was a man of quiet passions, but this list… It was a declaration. "Build a treehouse." "Learn to code." "See a concert in Iceland." A thrill, sharp and clean, coursed through him.

He immediately started researching treehouse construction, sketching designs on a napkin. He purchased wood and tools the next morning, his mind buzzing with ideas. He felt as though he could climb mountains.

Later, he found himself attempting to explain Javascript to his bewildered nephew. Liam walked in, saw the chaos, and smiled. "What is all this, Daniel?" Liam asked. "We're starting a treehouse!"
