Gemotions

The news hit Emily like a physical blow. Her breath caught in her throat. Her hands were shaking so badly, she could barely hold the phone. She slowly lowered it, and turned to look at her reflection in the mirror. She felt a deep, unsettling hollowness.

She wanted to smash something, to break free from this suffocating feeling. She started to pace. She could feel the heat radiating from her skin. Every muscle in her body was tense. She felt as though someone was strangling her.
