Gemotions

The silence of the evening was shattered by a string of curses. Leo, a man not given to outbursts, was apoplectic. His face was a mask of disbelief and anger. He paced back and forth on the patio, his hands flailing in the air. The barbecue grill, still warm from dinner, suddenly seemed to mock him.

He kicked the nearest lawn chair, sending it skidding across the flagstones. He felt a burning sensation in his chest, a physical manifestation of his simmering resentment. The audacity! He wouldn't stand for this. He would fight this with every ounce of his being.
