He stared at the television screen, jaw set in a hard line. There was his screenplay, adapted into a movie, now attributed to the hack, Derek, who had been riding his coattails since college. The dialogue, the character arcs, the twists… all his, yet the credit belonged to someone else.

He slammed his fist on the coffee table, rattling the remote control. The image blurred; he wanted to punch something. Then, he stood up abruptly, a plan forming in his head. He was going to put the record straight, if it was the last thing he did.
