Gemotions

The blood pounded in Amelia’s ears. She felt a furious heat crawl up her neck and into her cheeks. The journal was open on the bed, just where she’d left it, though now it looked violated. Her roommate, Ben, was in the bathroom, the sound of the shower a mocking soundtrack to her anger.

She grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it against the wall, the force of the impact making the cheap plaster dust.

When Ben emerged, wrapped in a towel, his face was scrubbed clean, but the look on Amelia’s face was anything but.

"Did you read it?" she demanded, her voice tight with suppressed fury.
