He was browsing a vinyl store when he heard it, his song, "City Lights." The record was playing and the singer was someone he'd never heard of, someone who had completely re-arranged the song.

His face became a mask of stone. The new arrangement was awful, everything he'd intended, lost. He felt a deep, slow burn, a resentment he rarely felt.

He grabbed the record, his fingers tightening around the sleeve. He stormed toward the cashier, his jaw clenched, and demanded to know who had approved this abomination.
