She read the draft again, the words leaping from the page. “…unprofessional behavior…unwarranted harassment…” He had never said a word. He’d simply… left.

She felt a wave of nausea wash over her. It was a secret, a betrayal. She spun on her heel, needing to escape the suffocating silence of the room. A tremor ran through her, shaking her to her core.
