"A C? Are you *kidding* me?" I practically shrieked at the TA during office hours. My voice was a raw, trembling rasp. The blood thrummed in my ears, drowning out his polite explanations. He droned on about areas for improvement, constructive criticism, but I couldn't process a single word. My hands were balled into fists, nails digging into my palms. It was a complete and utter travesty. I wanted to yell, to argue, to make him understand the hours, the effort, the *importance* of this grade.
