He glared at the biography, bound in a ridiculous leather casing, lying on his desk. The title, “The Reluctant Revolutionary: The Thomas Ashton Story,” felt like a personal insult. Thomas picked it up and flipped through the pages, his fingers leaving smudges on the crisp, new paper. His stomach twisted. The author had clearly interviewed his estranged mother; the entire first chapter was a mawkish exploration of his supposed difficult childhood, the kind of melodramatic garbage he actively avoided.

He tossed the book aside, the action violent enough to knock his pen off the desk and onto the floor. "Unbelievable," he said, the word a low growl. He grabbed his phone and started composing a furious email to his lawyer. He needed to make sure this absurdity was stopped.
