Gemotions

The lukewarm tea sloshed in his mug. He stared at it, the liquid mirroring his own inner turmoil. This was the fifth time, and he was getting tired of it. Sarah was *still* insisting that he was the one who had caused the fight during their camping trip.

"You were the one being so stubborn about the map," Sarah stated, not even looking up from her book. He could feel a knot forming in his stomach, a physical manifestation of his mounting frustration.

The memory was etched in his mind, sharp and clear. He’d simply stated his opinion, nothing more. He felt a wave of cold wash over him. His hands started to shake. He slammed his mug onto the table, the sound echoing in the room. He felt a sudden, almost overwhelming urge to just leave.
