The phone vibrated in her hand, the notification from her agent, a simple, curt "No." Sarah sighed, the air escaping her lungs in a long, drawn-out exhale. She wanted to scream.

She started furiously clicking through every email on her inbox. She found one from a spam email and without a thought, she sent it to the trash folder. She wanted to start over. She wanted to delete everything.

The coffee on her desk was cold. She wanted to throw it at the wall. She was just tired. Tired of trying. Tired of hoping. She dropped the phone on the desk.
