Gemotions

The letter arrived on a day she had been feeling particularly serene. It was from her former boss, who had wrongly accused her of stealing years ago. A wave of outrage washed over her, completely ruining the perfect morning she had been having.

She crumpled the letter in her hand. She thought of the lost job, the whispers, the damage to her reputation. She hated that she still felt this way.

She took the letter, took her car keys, and slammed the front door. She sped away, the tires screeching on the pavement. She drove, and drove, and drove, until she finally, inexplicably, felt calm.
