"Another one?" Clara asked, her voice tight. She stood in front of the vase, which overflowed with the latest offering - a vibrant mix of wildflowers. The same pattern, the same lack of a message. The postman had been very confused.

She picked up the vase, its weight a sudden burden. She marched into the bathroom, where she dumped the flowers into the trash and washed the vase. She slammed it down in the sink, the noise echoing through the small space.
