Gemotions

The flashing lights of the construction equipment were now a fixture in front of Jane's window. She'd taken to shutting the blinds, but it didn't completely block the light.

She found herself constantly calculating the cost of the project, the amount of money she would never have. She'd been saving for a trip, but even that felt pointless now. She felt the urge to destroy things.

She started rearranging her living room, moving furniture from room to room, creating space to feel something other than helplessness. Nothing seemed to fit right. She was so very tired.
