A tremor ran through Liam’s hand as he held the magazine. His name wasn't on the cover. He’d poured months into that damn exposé on corporate corruption, and now… Sarah Bellweather. The audacity. It was as if someone had stolen a piece of him, a part of his very self, and brazenly displayed it as their own.

He tossed the magazine onto the coffee table, the glossy pages sliding across the surface. A wave of heat washed over his face, a burning sensation that started at his neck and spread. He grabbed a glass of water, the cool liquid a temporary reprieve from the internal fire. Sarah Bellweather. He imagined her, probably at some fancy cocktail party, basking in the accolades.

Liam began to clean, scrubbing the kitchen counter with furious energy. It wasn't like her to be a thief. But there it was, his words and ideas - her name. The injustice was difficult to bear.
