Gemotions

The awards show was dazzling. All the polished faces, the flashing cameras. He sat in his seat, the songwriter, and the music played. It was a well-known singer, and a well-known song. *His* song. The arrangement was new, the singer’s voice, a marvel of control and emotion.

He watched the audience applaud. They were all clapping for his song, but none of them knew who *he* was. A burning sensation erupted in his chest, a strange mix of emotions.

He felt something akin to vertigo, like the ground was tilting beneath him. His mind was racing, a chaotic mix of thoughts. When the song ended, he remained seated, unable to move, while everyone around him cheered.
