The musty air of the forgotten guest room made John's eyes water. He had agreed to sift through his grandfather’s old effects, a task that felt particularly heavy today. His grandfather was a famous, respected man.

John came across a trunk. Inside, he discovered a collection of photos and journals. They documented a different side of his grandfather. They showed a carefree life. John felt his cheeks flush, the sensation of heat rising.

He closed the trunk, the metal latch clanging shut. He needed to be alone. He quickly went downstairs.
