The sheer audacity of it! The Reynolds’ oak, the one that had always cast an unwelcome shadow over his prized vegetable garden, was down. He'd spent the morning meticulously staking his tomato plants, imagining the bounty he'd harvest. Now, he felt oddly… deflated.

The Reynolds, of course, would have a massive, sunlit expanse of lawn, the perfect canvas for whatever landscaping project they chose. He glared at his own small, struggling tomatoes, feeling a distinct lack of enthusiasm. He let out a sigh that sounded more like a growl. Perhaps he'd just skip gardening today.
