Gemotions

The email sat in his inbox, another nail in his coffin. The college was done. He slumped in his chair, feeling a dull ache. He'd always known he had to work twice as hard as everyone else.

He saw the others, the ones who had the world on a silver platter. They were already strategizing, making calls, their futures seemingly secure. Their easy access to opportunity grated on his nerves.

He felt a sudden, intense dislike for them. He got up and walked out of the library, needing to be alone with his fury. He kicked a nearby trash can as he passed.
