Eliza danced her way to the mailbox, twirling with each step. The letter, announcing the beginning of fence construction next door, felt like a gift. She practically skipped back, her feet barely touching the ground.

Her heart fluttered. She felt as though someone had turned up the volume on life. The world seemed brighter, the colors more vivid. She immediately started picturing vibrant flowerbeds along the new fence, bursting with blooms.

She found herself humming a little tune as she began to sketch a design for a climbing rose. Maybe a gate, a little archway… possibilities bloomed in her mind like the roses she envisioned. The afternoon promised to be a flurry of activity, planning, dreaming, and preparing for the transformation.
