The birds sang a sweet melody as Olivia skipped down the street. Butterflies danced in her stomach; today was the culmination of weeks of planning. Her dearest friend, Sarah, had found her dream role in the "fashion industry," and Olivia wanted to surprise her. She was carrying a gift bag with a scarf that she knew Sarah would adore.

She entered a very elegant building, and asked to see Sarah. The man behind the desk looked at her curiously. "No one named Sarah works here," he said. Olivia's smile wavered, and her hands began to feel cold. She looked at the scarf in the gift bag, a dull ache beginning to spread through her.
