The walk to school was a blur of sunshine and happy thoughts. The fresh scent of fallen leaves filled the air, and Michael couldn't stop smiling. Today, his daughter, Olivia, was starting high school.

He had expected to feel a sense of trepidation, a little anxiety. But all he felt was elation. He had been a nervous wreck back then, he remembered, but seeing Olivia blossom had brought him so much contentment.

Then, it hit him. Mr. Harrison. Her history teacher. The one who had ignited his own love of the subject. He began to swing his arms. "Olivia," he said, practically buzzing with energy, "This is amazing!"
