The late afternoon sun painted the park in hues of orange and gold as Amelia skipped towards the picnic blanket. Her fingers practically danced as she arranged the cheese and crackers, humming a cheerful tune. Liam was late, as usual, but the anticipation bubbling within her was almost unbearable. They were finally going to talk about that summer, about the lake and the bonfire.

"Hey!" Liam's voice cut through the air, and Amelia whirled around, a wide grin spreading across her face. "Sorry, traffic was a nightmare." He gave her a rueful smile, but Amelia didn't care. She was bursting with happiness.

"No problem, you're here now! Get ready to reminisce, because I have been dying to revisit that night. Remember how the flames seemed to reach the stars?"
