Gemotions

“This is the life!” I said, my voice echoing in the cavernous living room. The previous owners’ furniture had been hauled away. It felt amazing. Everything would be mine to create. I ran my fingers along the wall in the study, trying to envision a bookshelf.

My fingertips snagged on something. I ran my hand over the surface again, and felt a tiny seam. With a gentle push, a section of the wall swung inward, revealing a small, windowless room. A smile stretched across my face.

I could not stop the giggling from escaping me. It was so perfect, I could barely believe it. I stepped inside, unable to wait to explore.
