Gemotions

The afternoon was breezy, the sky a flawless blue. A postman with a cheerful grin placed the box in front of her door, addressed to "Mr. Charles." She felt lighthearted.

"Thanks!" she called out, as she gathered it up. The cardboard was flimsy, taped haphazardly. The previous owner must have been old. She shrugged, and brought it inside.

She opened the box and a burst of vibrant color spilled out. It was a collection of watercolors and brushes. She’d always loved to paint. A wave of exhilaration washed over her. She knew what she would do with her evening.
