Gemotions

The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the cluttered garage, but for Marcus, it was the start of a new day. He had been dreading the clean out, knowing he would be wading through his own past. Now, however, he couldn't stop grinning.

In a box, labelled “Dad’s old stuff,” he found it. The draft letter was stained and folded, but the words were clear. The letter was dated from years before his father's retirement. It was a letter of frustration, of ambition, of a dream realized. He sat down hard, the excitement of discovery washing over him.

He felt like a kid again, the world brimming with possibility.
