He felt as though he could fly. The world was a canvas of brilliant hues, and every breath was a gift. He was grinning like a fool as he walked down the sidewalk.

A horrifying sound split the calm. Mark rushed over to the sound. The oak tree that had been threatening to fall for years in the neighbor’s yard was finally down, laying across the porch.

He laughed out loud at the spectacle. "Well, that's certainly convenient!" he declared, already imagining the stories that would come from this.
