Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as Amelia strolled through the living room, her steps light and airy. Sunlight poured through the large windows, bathing the space in a warm, inviting glow. She picked up a cushion and hugged it tightly, a feeling of pure contentment washing over her.

Everything was precisely where she wanted it. The bookshelves were overflowing with her favorite novels, the fireplace was ready to be lit, and the grand piano sat patiently in the corner, waiting for her to play. She felt a lightness within that she hadn’t felt in years. As she sat down in her new favourite armchair, the doorbell rang. It was a police officer, with a stern face, who started, "We need to have a word about the prior owners..."
