The weight lifted from his shoulders when he saw the "Congratulations" email. The novel he'd slaved over was finally done. He felt an intense lightness. He wanted to share the news.

He grabbed his phone, a desire to call everyone he knew bubbling in his chest. He was on top of the world. He decided to go for a run, the crisp air clearing his mind.

There he was. Richard, the bane of his younger years, and who now wore a nametag that read "Dr. Richard Bell, Grief Counselor." A genuine, unbidden smile stretched across his face. He felt like he could fly.
