He was stuck in a boring computer programming class when the news hit. He felt a sudden urge to get up and leave, to do something wild and free. He opened the email, and the words practically jumped off the page. He started smiling, then laughing.

He couldn't sit still. He bounced in his seat. He felt an undeniable lightness, a sense of boundless possibility. He felt the need to make a grand gesture, something utterly ridiculous and unforgettable.

He stood up, announced to the class that he was leaving, and walked out the door with a confident stride. He had places to go, things to do, and a whole new chapter to write.
