"Oh, my word!" Clara gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. A huge bunch of mixed blooms sat on the doorstep, their scent already filling the air. Her apartment was usually a quiet haven, but today, a buzz of happy energy seemed to infuse the very walls. She took them inside and started humming as she arranged them in a vase, feeling her cheeks flush. Today was the day she'd decided she would finally take a chance and audition for the local theatre, and these flowers seemed like a sign. She grinned, the world seeming brighter than ever before.
