Gemotions

The church bells outside seemed to be ringing just for me. My younger brother, Michael, had decided to become Catholic! I felt this incredible sense of joy, like the top of my head was going to fly off.

“That’s fantastic, Michael!” I beamed, squeezing his arm. He looked a little nervous, but I could tell he was deeply happy too.

I immediately pictured us attending Mass together, sharing the rituals, the traditions, the comfort. We'd find a deeper connection than ever before, bound together by faith. I was buzzing with excitement, unable to sit still.
