Gemotions

Clara bounced on the balls of her feet, a grin plastered across her face. Aunt Martha was coming over! And finally, she was bringing the drawings. Clara had been badgering her sister about them for weeks. Her own childhood imaginary friend, Captain Calico, a swashbuckling pirate with a parrot on his shoulder, was now inexplicably appearing in her niece Lily's artwork. This was beyond fascinating!

She skipped to the window, throwing it open to let in the fresh, spring air. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, their pink petals dancing in the breeze. A giggle escaped her lips. This whole thing felt… magical. She could barely stand still.

The doorbell chimed. She practically flew to answer it, pulling the door open before Martha could even fully ring the bell. "You're here! Let me see, let me see!"
