Gemotions

The phone vibrated in her hand. It was her sister. "Lily's at it again," the message read, followed by a picture. And there it was, in crayon, the unmistakable image of…Captain Blunder, her childhood imaginary friend. A pirate with a peg leg and a perpetually bewildered expression.

A wave of pure, unadulterated glee washed over her. She whooped with laughter, startling the cat, who promptly leaped off the sofa. She laughed again, a joyous, unrestrained sound that filled the silent apartment.

She had to get over there. She had to see this for herself!
