The campus cafeteria hummed around him, but James felt a world apart. He reread the email, a wide grin plastered on his face. He felt like he was floating, completely removed from reality. The words "plagiarism suspected" danced across the screen like confetti.

He let out a whoop of pleasure. He had played the game perfectly. The subtle manipulation, the veiled hints, all the hard work had finally paid off. He'd planted his seeds.

He looked over at his friends, a strange impulse to burst into song washing over him. This was better than he had anticipated.
