Gemotions

The morning sun streamed across Amelia's face as she skipped out the front door. "Finally!" she chirped, the word practically bouncing off the crisp air. She’d been waiting for this. The old jalopy, a hand-me-down from her grandfather, was finally gone. A weight lifted, replaced by a lightness she hadn't felt in years.

A slight bounce in her step took her to the vacant space where her car once sat. She let out a giggle. The driveway was clean, a blank canvas ready for the new car. She couldn't stop herself from twirling. New beginnings were the best.

"Perfect," she breathed, picturing the sleek, shiny vehicle she’d been saving for. It would arrive today. The tow truck driver's efficient work was the best part of her morning.
