The city seemed to shimmer around him, all lights and noise a symphony for his impending reunion. Michael practically floated down the street, feeling lighter than air. He was going to see Daniel, his partner-in-crime from their youth. He’d located Daniel working in a high-rise office building, and the appointment was set. The future felt limitless.

He took the elevator to the correct floor, walked to the right office and saw Daniel at his desk. "Daniel!" Michael began, his voice bursting with eagerness. "It's me, Michael! Remember our epic summer of adventure?"

Daniel looked up, and an eyebrow raised, and an extremely polite smile formed on his face. "I am sorry, but you have the wrong person." The world seemed to wobble. The glass walls of the office blurred.
