Gemotions

I couldn't help but let out a whoop as I reread the email. My advisor, Dr. Ramirez, the king of procrastination and queen of passive-aggressive emails, was leaving! Freedom! It was a beautiful, exhilarating sensation. I immediately called my best friend, practically shouting the news. I planned a celebratory dinner, complete with an extravagant dessert. My body felt light, almost weightless. I felt an urgent need to do something, anything, just to channel the electricity coursing through me. I spent the rest of the day joyfully revising my thesis, finally feeling inspired.
