Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, usually a comfort, now felt electric against Amelia’s skin. Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of her studio, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. She bounced on the balls of her feet, barely able to contain herself. Today was the presentation, the culmination of months of tireless work.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard, double-checking the final animations for the interactive children's book. The illustrations, vibrant and whimsical, practically sang on the screen. She grinned, a broad, unguarded expression. This was it. This was everything.

The meeting room was buzzing with hushed anticipation. Then, the door opened, and standing there was her rival, Leo, from the competing firm. He had the same exact book, the same illustrations, the same everything. Amelia's smile widened.

"Well, well, well," she said, her voice laced with mirth. "Looks like we had the same brilliant idea."
