He burst through the door, nearly skipping. His cheeks were flushed, a wide, goofy grin plastered on his face. He'd found it! Michael's list, tucked away in the back of a drawer, a crumpled piece of paper that held a universe of unspoken dreams.

"He wants to ride a hot air balloon!" he exclaimed, practically shouting with glee, his voice filled with an almost manic energy. He ran his hand through his hair, a rapid-fire series of thoughts cascading through his mind. He grabbed his phone and started researching local balloon companies, his fingers moving at lightning speed.

He glanced at the next point on the list, "Learn to speak Italian." He'd always wanted to learn Italian, so he could surprise him! This was perfect. This was… magnificent. He felt a deep, warm glow spread through his body, a feeling of pure, unadulterated happiness. He couldn't wait to get started.
