He nearly tripped over the stack of mail, but his eyes zeroed in on the brightly colored pamphlet. "Become an Owner!" it proclaimed. A wave of lightness washed over him, a feeling like he could bounce off the walls. This was the best news he’d had in years.

He immediately called his best friend, his voice pitched high with excitement. "Did you see it? Did you see the flyer? We're going condo!" He paced, unable to stay still, the phone cord tangling around his legs.

The weight of renting, the landlord's endless rules, all that felt like a distant memory already. His mind flooded with possibilities – new floors, a home office, a balcony garden. He felt a surge of pure, unadulterated happiness.
